Jumbo tramples elderly woman to death in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: In a tragic incident, an elephant crushed an elderly woman to death at a forest under Kankadahada block in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, today.

According to reports, Dulana Sahu (65) of Balabhadrapur village under Telkoi police limits in Keonjhar had gone to Nageswar forest in Dhenkanal with some women for collecting mushrooms early this morning.

In the meantime, an elephant attacked her and trampled the woman to death on the spot. Dhenkanal Forest Division officials have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
