Junior Engineer under Vigilance scanner in Balangir

Balangir: Vigilance sleuths today raided the residence and office of Junior Engineer (JE) Girish Patra of Deogaon block in Balangir district on charges of acquisition and possession of assets disproportionate  to his known sources of income.

Separate teams of the anti-graft wing from Balangir, Sambalpur and Sonepur In Balangir are conducting simultaneous raids at his residence at Adarsha Pada and office at Deogaon.

During the raid,  gold jewellery and cash of Rs 80,000 were found from his house. The officials are also verifying his property documents and bank accounts.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets that the JE has possessed will be ascertained after completion of  raid, said an official.
