Justice BK Patel appointed as Chairperson of OHRC
Bhubaneswar: Former judge of Orissa High Court Justice Bijaya Krushna Patel has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC), official sources said today.
His appointment has been approved by Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal. A committee headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had recommended the name of Justice Patel for the post.

He had served as judge of the Orissa High Court between 2008 and 2015.
The post of OHRC Chairperson was vacant since November 14 after the retirement of Justice BP Das.
