Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty appointed as Chief Justice of Jharkhand HC

President of India has appointed Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

A notification in this regard was today issued by Ministry of Law and Justice.

In exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Pradip Kumar Mohanty, Judge of Jharkhand High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office, the notification said.

Besides, President also appointed the new Chief Justices in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Patna High Courts.

Mohanty was appointed as the acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court in October last year.
