Cuttack: Justice Subhasis Talapatra was today sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
Odisha Governer Prof. Ganeshi Lal administered Justice Talapatra the oath at a ceremony held on the premises of the Orissa High Court in the presence of other judges, lawyers and dignitaries.
Justice Talapatra became the 33rd Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, succeeding Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar who retired yesterday.
The Supreme Court collegium had earlier recommended the name of Justice Talapatra for the post.
He was transferred as Judge of Orissa High Court from Tripura High Court on 1 June 2022. He had taken oath as the Judge of Orissa High Court on 10 June 2022.
