Kadalipal forester killed in fatal road mishap in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Forester of Kadalipal was killed today in a fatal road accident after the bike (Pulsar) which he was riding had head-on collision with a speeding four-wheeler (Bolero) at Baribandha near Jayantapur under Sadar police limits in Sambalpur district.

The deceased was identified as Subodh Kumar Majhi, a senior police official said.

According to an eyewitness, Majhi was on his way to Kadalipal locality from Sambalpur city to attend an afforestation programme when he met with accident. He sustained grievous injuries on his head and succumbed on the spot, the eyewitness added.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and seized the two vehicles. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a probe, which is underway.

Majhi’s body was sent to a nearby health facility for post-mortem.
