Kalabaisakhi diverts flights from Odisha capital

Two flights of Indigo had to be diverted from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the Odisha capital this afternoon due to bad weather caused by nor’wester (Kalabaisakhi).

The Indigo flight from Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar had to be diverted to Kolkata as it was denied permission by the air traffic controller to land here owing to turbulence in weather, reports said.

Similarly, another Indigo flight which was coming from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar had to return back to Kolkata for the same reason, reports added.
