Kali Puja to be held amid restrictions in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Kali Puja will be held in Odisha’s Cuttack city this year amid restrictions similar to that of Durga Puja, informed DCP Prateek Singh today.

The limit for height of the idols has been fixed at 4 feet while the puja committees have been apprised in this regard, the police official said.

A total of 15 platoons of police force and 50 officers will be deployed across the city for smooth conduct of Kali Puja. The puja will be observed with adherence to all COVID-19 guidelines, the DCP said.

While idol immersion procession and cultural programmes have not been permitted, as many as 11 temporary ponds will be created for immersion of the idols, he said.
