Kangaroo Justice: Youth stripped, beaten brutally for loving employer’s daughter   

Kendrapara: In yet another incident of Kangaroo courts taking law into their hands, a youth of Bhekta village under Talachua Maraine Police Station in Kendrapara district was stripped and beaten brutally by a group of of locals in presence of the local Sarpanch yesterday.

The incident came to the fore after a video of the whole incident was made viral on social media by the mob.

Sources said the youth was working under a businessman, Bulu Jena, of Sikaripahi village and had developed love relationship with the latter’s daughter. Later, the youth and the girl had eloped to Bhubaneswar.

Yesterday, a group of locals of Talachua village caught the youth in Bhubaneswar and took him to the village to take revenge. Later, he was taken to the Panchayat office premises, where the mob stripped the youth and beat him black and blue with a wooden plank in front of his father. Moreover, they also made a video of his naked body and uploaded the same on social media.

The youth, who sustained injuries in the attack, was later admitted to Talachua primary health centre (PHC) for treatment.

However, no police complaint has been filed in this connection till yet.
