Kartik Aaryan removed from Dostana 2 & will never be signed by Dharma?

Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: Actor Kartik Aaryan has reportedly been removed from Dharma Production’s movie Dostana 2. The production house will not sign the actor for any of its upcoming projects.

Media reports said Kartik and filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma had major fallout regarding dates for the shoot and later aggravated following creative issues between two parties.  A source from the close circle was quoted by Bollywood Hungama saying that Kartik initially had a genuine reason of  COVID-19 pandemic for not beginning the shoot for Dostana 2. But, he later went on to shoot for another project ‘Dhamaka’. Disappointed with this, Karan Johar dropped the actor out of the movie.

Moreover, it’s also being said that KJo has decided not to work with Kartik in  future because of his alleged ‘unprofessionalism’.

Dostana 2 was announced in the year 2019 and was scheduled for a December 2020 release. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schedule for the shoot was postponed. Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor were signed for the lead roles. Now that, Kartik has been removed from the project, details about the latest star cast are awaited.
