Kendrapara, Apr 24:

The OAS officers in Odisha’s Kendrapara district, who were on a pen down agitation wearing black badges for the last three days, today withdrew their agitation following an assurance by collector Nitin Bhanudas Jawale that the remaining accused in the Marsaghai BDO Sushant Pati assault case will be arrested and stringent action will taken against those found guilty.

The Kendrapara district unit of the OAS officers association took a decision in this regard at a meeting today following assurances from the collector.

Marsaghai BDO Pati was assaulted by a mob after they found 28 pairs of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) kept in a government vehicle parked near his residence in the district headquarters town of Kendrapada on April 18.
