Keonjhar triple murder : Accused boy nabbed

Police today nabbed the prime accused in the ghastly triple murder on Thursday at Kaliahata.
The accused who is a minor was nabbed from the Sarupata forested area around 10 km away from the site of the triple murder, said Ajay Pratap Swain, SDPO, Keonjhar Sadar.
Swain said the accused has appeared at his matriculation examinations this year.
He said the accused has confessed to the crime and said he was angry with the deceased Dukhabandhu Pallei, the owner of the brick kiln over non-payment of his wages and cost of the trees felled from his family garden for use in kiln.
The minor, who was taken to the district headquarters hospital at Keonjhar for medical examination, will be later produced before the district juvenile board.
However, local sources said after setting fire (charging) to the brick kiln all those killed and injured and the accused had taken ‘satabari’ and toddy (locally available intoxicants) before feasting.
The multiple murders were the fallout of charged passions under the influence of the intoxicants, the sources added.
