Khurda Road-Begunia train to be extended to Raj Sunakhala

The services along the ongoing Khurda Road-Balangir rail line project will be extended up to Raj Sunakhala from November 3.

With a view to providing facilities to the commuters and on completion of train line between Begunia and Raj Sunakhala, the authorities of East Coast Railway (ECoR) have decided to extend the services of Khurda Road-Begunia-Khurda Road passenger trains up to Raj Sunakhala from November 3.

58429 Khurda Road-Raj Sunakhala passenger will leave Khurda Road at 0645hrs and will arrive at Raj Sunakhala at 0800hrs. In the return direction, 58430 Raj Sunakhala-Khurda Road passenger will leave Raj Sunakhala at 0825hrs and will reach at Khurda Road at 0940hrs.

Similarly, 58427 Khurda Road-Raj Sunakhala passenger will leave Khurda Road at 1935hrs and will arrive at Raj Sunakhala at 2050hrs. In the return direction, 58428 Raj Sunakhala-Khurda Road passenger will leave Raj Sunakhala at 0500hrs and will reach at Khurda Road at 0615hrs.

Flagging off of the train on the extended portion will be held on Tuesday and the train will run as a special train on the inaugural run. 58427 passenger train leaving Khurda Road at 1935hrs on 3rd November, 2015 will run towards Raj Sunakhala for regular services of trains between Raj Sunakhala and Khurda Road.

Notably, Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu had flagged off the first-ever train to run on the 32 km stretch of Khurda Road-Begunia section of the Khurda-Bolangir track at Begunia station on July 16.
