Kidnapper SK Akhtar arrested in Odisha’s Jeypore

Jeypore: Jeypore Town police apprehended one of the most wanted kidnappers identified as SK Akhtar following an encounter late on Thursday night here.

The police seized a mouser, two live bullets and a mobile phone from his possession.

The criminal was caught while he along with two of his associates was making a plan for a kidnap. A team of police while patrolling near a canal behind the Irrigation Colony in Jeypore opened fire at the criminals late night. During the exchange of fire, two managed to flee from the spot and Akhtar was nabbed.

According to reports, during patrolling, police found a total three criminals who were making a plot for a kidnap. After they reached the spot, the two started running towards the canal. The cops chased but failed to nab them.

As they were professional kidnappers, they were making a plan to kidnap someone. However, police managed to arrest the dreaded criminal, Jeypore Town police IIC said.

A list of criminals in Jeypore town has been prepared. The operation has been launched to nab those are active in crime.
