Bhubaneswar: The KIIT School of Law in Odisha capital was closed sine die today after a clash between two groups of students erupted last night in the campus.

According to reports, some second-year B.Tech students had allegedly passed lewd comments at a fifth-year girl law student few days ago.

Though the matter was sorted out amicably, pelting of stones took place between the students of the two groups yesterday, during which at least six students sustained injuries and were hospitalised. The students also reportedly attacked each other with wooden planks.

The law school was closed sine die early this morning and the second year engineering students and law students were asked to vacate hostels.

On the basis of the CCTV footage, as many as four students have been detained in connection with the incident, police sources said.
