Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised a slew of initiatives in its manifesto to woo the voters ahead of the Assembly polls in Odisha.

BJP national president JP Nadda along with other senior leaders of the party released the poll manifesto titled as ‘Sankalp Patra’ here today.

The party claimed that it had collected suggestions from the common people in all Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies in Odisha through online and offline modes to frame its poll manifesto.

The keys points in BJP’s poll manifesto are:

  • ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy towards corruption and measures to return the money stuck in Chitfund scam within 18 months
  • The MSP for paddy procurement in Odisha would be Rs 3,100 per quintal
  • ‘Subhadra’ Yojana under which every woman will receive a cash voucher of Rs 50,000
  • Odia Samudaya Bhawan in all metro cities of India
  • Creation of 25 Lakh ‘Lakhpati Didis’ through women SHGs by 2027
  • Annual lean period allowance of Rs 10,000 to every fisherman
  • World-class road connectivity with construction of 75,000 km rural and state highway roads
  • Creation of over 3.5 lakh jobs by 2029
  • Industrial corridor connecting Rourkela, Sambalpur, Paradip and Dhamra by 2027
  • IT parks at Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Berhampur and Balasore
  • Introduction of legal, medical and engineering courses in Odia language
  • Recruitment to 1.5 lakh vacant government posts in the state
  • Launch of Kendu Patra Tolali Kalyan Yojana
  • 15 lakh houses will be built under PM Awas Yojana and water connections to 26 lakh households under Jal Jeevan Mission
  • Setting up of three integrated textile parks in western Odisha
  • Inventory of Jagannath temple Ratna Bhandar and reopening of all four gates of the shrine
  • Insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to the labourers of the unorganized sector
  • Implementation of Ayushman Bharat health scheme in Odisha
  • Monthly pension of Rs 3,000 for all elderly, Divyang, widows and destitute people
  • Annual financial aid of Rs 5,000 to all tribal students
  • Establishment of medical college, nursing college and super-specialty hospital in each district
  • Initiative to make Odisha the third most preferred tourist destination in India
