Know the SBI branches operational in cyclone FANI-hit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Apart from power outage and lack of water supply, cyclone victims in Odisha are also bearing the brunt of shortage in cash for day-to-day transactions as ATMs have gone kaput.

However, there are some branches of State Bank of India (SBI) that are currently up and running to help consumers out of their monetary woes, as declared in a tweet by the largest public sector bank in the country.

Presently, Cuttack has 17, Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur have 10 each and Nayagarh has 7 branches of SBI that have resumed banking operations.

Khordha has two functional branch offices (Bajpur and Majhiakhanda) while Puri has just one at Balugaon.

Similarly, all branches of SBI are working in Angul and Keonjhar. Mayurbhanj has operational offices all over the district except in Rairangpur. Apart from Dhenkanal Main Branch and Dhenkanal Bazar, rest of the SBI offices in Dhenkanal are operating.

Kendrapara, Balichandrapur, Bairi, Chandikhol and Gupti offices of the bank are yet to function but all other branches of SBI are in action in Jajpur region.

In a bid to normalise banking services, SBI Bhubaneswar Branch is providing portable water and mobile charging points to its customers, as well as the general public.
