Krushi Odisha-2020 kicks off; Naveen launches new agriculture policy

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to increase farmers’ income in the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched a new agriculture policy (SAMRUDHI) during 5-day event Krushi Odisha-2020 in Bhubaneswar.

Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said, “My government is dedicatedly working towards development of farmers. My aim is to hike farmers’ income under the new agriculture policy.”

Inaugurating the 5-day-long farmers programme at Janata Maidan, he felicitated successful farmers for their achievements. He also highlighted the government’s KALIA scheme that has set a milestone in the state.

“The KALIA scheme has enhanced prestige of farmers. I want the farmers of my state to live with dignity and they use new technology. By using new technology, our farmers will become the face of development,” the CM said.

He said, “I want my farmers to live happily,” adding “My government is always with you.”
