Kunduli gang-rape victim hospitalized again in Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: The Kunduli gang-rape survivor, who was discharged from medical yesterday, again hospitalised today after she complained pain in her stomach.

The 14-year-old girl was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital this afternoon where she is still under observation.

Informing this to the media, SDMO Dadhibaman Tripathy said the minor girl has been hospitalized after she found to be suffering from upset stomach by adding that her condition is now stable after a primary treatment.

Three doctors are treating the girl and she is under observation, Tripathy further informed.

Worth mentioning, the gang-rape survivor was discharged from Sahid Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput Friday.

Later on the same day, she deposed before the Koraput judicial magistrate first class to record her statement under Section 164 of the CrPC.

She was sent to a remand home as she refused to go back to her village demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

The class IX student said she had been gang-raped at gunpoint by four uniformed personnel inside the Lanjiguda forest on October 10 when she was on her way to school.
