Labourer charred to death at brick kiln in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, a labourer was charred to death due to a fire mishap near a brick kiln in Kaithadihi village under Dhamnagar block of Odisha’s Bhadrak district late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Babuni Gochhayat of Patana village in Nadigaon panchayat.

According to reports, Babuni used to work at the brick kiln along with four other labourers. The five were staying at a temporary shelter near the brick kiln.

Fire broke out inside the house last night following which four labourers managed to come outside the house but Babuni could not. He was burnt to death at the spot.

On being informed by locals, police reached the village, recovered the charred body and sent it for post-mortem.
