Labourer dies after mobile phone explodes in Odisha

Paradip: A labourer died after a mobile phone exploded in Paradip area of Jagatsinghpur district today.

The deceased was identified as Kuna Pradhan, a resident of Nayagarh district.

Pradhan was engaged in a temple construction work at Atharbanki area in Paradip.

According to reports, the mobile phone, which was being charged, exploded while the labourer was sleeping at night at office of a truck owners association. The victim had reportedly placed the device on his chest.

On receiving information, police rushed to the site in the morning and recovered the body.
