Labourer dies as roof collapses during eviction in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A labourer died and three others sustained critical injuries after roof of a shop which was being evicted collapsed at Balisahi under Banarpal police limits in Odisha’s Angul district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Sipu Sahu (27) of Pragati Nagar in the district. The injured ones have been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

The mishap took place when an excavator was engaged to demolish a shop for expansion of NH-55. Unfortunately, the roof of the shop crumbled and fell on the victims who were working there.
