Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will create 840 new posts across various categories for 56 new courts at the Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-Judicial Magistrate First Class level.

The sanctioned posts include key positions such as 56 Civil Judges, along with various supporting staff like Head Clerks, Bench Clerks, Stenographers, Junior Clerks and Typists proficient in computer skills, Copyists, Process Servers, Peons, House Orderlies, Sweepers, and Night Watchmen.

The recruitment and appointment to these posts will adhere strictly to the respective rules and provisions under the Odisha Revenue and Valuation (ORV) Act.

Funding for these newly created positions will be charged to the state's budget for the financial year 2025-26.

The Law Department has written a letter in this regard to the Accountant General.
