Bhubaneswar: A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal around July 24, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
The agency in its 'North Indian Ocean Extended Range Outlook for Cyclogenesis' said that the forecasted system is likely to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal, north Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand, and south Chhattisgarh during the subsequent 2-3 days.
Under the influence of the system, several parts of Odisha, especially the northern region, may receive significant rainfall.
