Bhubaneswar: The IMD issued heavy rainfall alert for Odisha as a fresh low pressure has formed over the Bay of Bengal this morning. 

According to IMD, a low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts at 5.30 am today. 

Under influence of the system over the sea, several districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall today and next five days. 

The IMD has issued rainfall warning till July 4. 

June 29: Very Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Mayurbhanj. 

Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of  Balasore and Bhadrak. 
 
Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph , heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur,  Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.    

June 30: Very Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh.   

Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda.

July 1: Very heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of  Nayagarh,  Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of   Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput,  Cuttack, Boudh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda. 

July 2: Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of  Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir. 

July 3: Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj. 

July 4: Heavy Rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
