Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a minor reshuffle in the IAS cadre by transferring three officers. The General Administration department of the state government issued a notification in this regard.

Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, who was serving as the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been transferred and posted as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Co-operation Department.

The 2005-betch IAS officer has been given the additional charge of Special Secretary to Housing and Urban Development Department and Chairman OF Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.

Samarth Verma (2011 batch), who was serving as Director, Technical Education and Training, has been transferred and posted as Director, Minor Minerals.

Verma has been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation.

As per the notification, Deepankar Mohapatra, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha. Mohapatra was earlier working as Director of sports.

Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya (2009 batch) has been allowed to remain in charge of the Secretary to Odia Language Literature and Culture Department.

He was earlier working as the Director, Odia Language Literature and Culture Department, with additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar.

In addition to this, the state government has appointed nine newly-recruited IAS officers as Sub-Collectors in various districts upon completion of their training.

The new Sub-Collectors are: Preksha Agrawal (Dharmagarh), Pranita Dash (Baluguda), Kasturi Panda (Karanjia), Abhishek Dilip Dudhal (Gunupur), Ashni AL (Nabarangpur), C Saravanan (Kuchinda), Tejaswini Behera (Sundargarh), Shiv Malviya (Anandpur) and Avinash Kumar (Berhampur).
