Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours, under the influence of which several parts of Odisha may receive heavy rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.

A cyclonic circulation (remnant of tropical cyclone Wipha) is likely to emerge over the north Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the same region in the subsequent 48 hours, the IMD said.
