Bhubaneswar: Accelerating industrial growth in the state, the Odisha Government approved investment proposals worth ₹4,982.66 crore during the 138th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.

A total of 23 projects received the green light, expected to generate 11,933 jobs across 12 districts. The approved proposals span vital sectors including Apparel & Textiles, Steel & Downstream Industries, Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Renewable Energy, IT & ITES, Tourism, and Aerospace & Defence.

Key Project Highlights:

KPR Mill Limited will invest ₹350 crore in a large-scale garment manufacturing unit in Khordha, with an annual capacity of 46.8 million pieces, generating 5,000 jobs.

Vidya Minerals Pvt. Ltd. will set up a 0.21 MTPA integrated steel plant in Sundargarh with a ₹620 crore investment, creating 525 jobs.

Jatia Steel Limited will establish a steel structure unit in Jajpur with an investment of ₹451.90 crore, generating 175 jobs.

Additional approvals to Amsted Steel Foundries, Mankash Enterprises, and Steelograph Ascenders will further enhance the state’s downstream steel capabilities.

Food & Beverage and Dairy:

Hindustan Aqua Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹320 crore in a beverage unit in Sundargarh, creating 250 jobs.
Pragati Milk Products Pvt. Ltd. will set up a dairy processing facility in Balasore with an investment of ₹114.34 crore, generating 674 jobs.

Tourism:

Six high-end hospitality projects worth ₹479 crore were approved across Puri, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Ganjam, expected to generate 1,352 jobs.

Emerging Technologies and Energy:

BonV Technology Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹300 crore in a Drone Park in Khordha, featuring R&D, manufacturing, and training facilities, and creating 760 jobs.

Ecodynamix Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. will set up a 30 MW solar power plant in Bargarh with an investment of ₹100 crore.

Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will establish a solar cell (1.2 GW) and solar PV module (1 GW) manufacturing unit at Gopalpur. The ₹950 crore project will generate 1,000 jobs.

Chemicals, Pharma, and IT:

Linde India will set up an Air Separation Unit in Sundargarh.

Growing Tree Oil Refinery Pvt. Ltd. will establish a solvent extraction unit in Bargarh.

Synnat Pharma Pvt. Ltd. plans to invest ₹100 crore in an API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) manufacturing unit in Cuttack.

Apmosys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹65 crore to set up a software development centre in Khordha, generating 155 jobs.
