Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department today published the first selection merit list for admission into three-year LLB courses in Odisha for 2025-26 academic year.

The department also published the institution-wise cut-off marks for admission into the LLB courses in University Law College in Bhubaneswar, Madhusudan Law University in Cuttack and Lingaraj Law College in Berhampur.

The University Law College in Bhubaneswar recorded the highest cut-off marks of 82.23 per cent, followed by Madhusudan Law University in Cuttack (79.42 per cent) and Lingaraj Law College in Berhampur (75.13 per cent).

As many as 2,207 students had submitted their applications for admission into the LLB courses against the total 360 seats available in the above said three law institutes.

Altogether 206 boy students and 154 girl students have been selected for admission in the first selection merit list. The admissions will be done between July 22 and July 24, said the Higher Education Department.

The selected applicants will have to opt for the ‘Freeze’ option, pay the admission fees in online mode and download the intimation letter before reporting to the allotted institute for completion of the admission related activities, it added.
