Bhubaneswar: The state government will prepare a fresh detailed project report (DPR) for the development of infrastructure at Tara Tarini temple in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today asked the officials concerned to prepare the revised DPR for the development of the hilltop shrine under Purushottampur block of Ganjam.
The Chief Minister attended a state-level youth convention at Aska in Ganjam and laid foundation stones for developmental projects worth Rs 550 crore for the district.
“Odisha will be a land of countless possibilities for the youth in the coming days. A golden era is in the offing in Odisha. There will be plenty of opportunities in different sectors of the economy,” said the Chief Minister at the youth convention.
The state government has set a target to make Odisha a $ 500 billion economy by 2036, the centenary year of its formation, and $ 1.5 trillion economy by 2047, the centenary year of India’s independence. The youths of Odisha will play a key role in achieving this target, added the Chief Minister.
On the occasion, Majhi announced that the state government will provide land for setting up of a world-class training institute at Polasara in Ganjam.
According to the Chief Minister, around 1.7 crore people in Odisha are in the age group of 15 to 35. Keeping this in mind, the state government is preparing the roadmap for the future, he said.
“The state government has decided to provide 11.25 per cent reservation for the students of SEBC in higher education. We have provided government jobs to altogether 28,346 youths in last one year. Industrial projects worth over Rs 1.8 lakh crore were launched during this period. The projects are likely to create 1.1 lakh new jobs in the state,” added the Chief Minister.
