Bhubaneswar: Soil Conservation and Watershed Development Joint Director Dayanidhi Bagh fell under Odisha Vigilance scanner for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets (DA). 

The Vigilance officials found disproportionate assets belonging to Dayanidhi Bagh, presently posted as the Joint Director at Office of Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development, Bhubaneswar, during searches today. 

During the searches on properties linked to the former Rayagada Watershed Project Director, two buildings, 1 3-BHK flat in Bhubaneswar, 57-acre land comprising 2 farm houses at Nabarangpur, 1 shopping complex, Rs 55 lakh deposits and many more disproportionate assets were found. 

On the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Dayanidhi Bagh, Odisha Vigilance teams led by 10 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, 10 ASIs, and other supporting staff conducted simultaneous house searches today i.e on 30.06.2025, at 8 locations in Bhubaneswar, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.

Following disproportionate assets were unearthed in name of Bagh and his family so far: 

1.    One 3-BHK Flat with area 1450 Sqft. located at Flat No.1-D, Mahanadi Apartment, Gothapatana, Bhubaneswar.

2.    One building (under construction) with area 3000 Sqft. at Padalguda near Majhiguda Chhaka, Nabarangpur Town, Dist. Nabarangpur.

3.    One building located at Housing Board Colony, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

4.    One Shopping Complex comprising 5 shops with area 1400 Sqft. near Nabarangpur Town.

5.    One Farm house spread over 40 Acres at Bijraguda, Nabarangpur with drip irrigation facility with investment of approx Rs.1 Crore.

6.    Another Farm house spread over 6 Acres at Phatakote, Nabarangpur with drip irrigation facility with investment of approx Rs.34 laklhs.

7.    11 Acres of land on the outskirts of Bhabanipatna town.  

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flat/Farm houses/ land are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. 

8.    Bank deposits Rs.55 lakhs.

9 Other deposits, investments etc. are being ascertained.

10.    1 four wheeler (Brezza) benami car which is under verification.
