Bhubaneswar: In view of President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Odisha on July 14 and 15, the Commissionerate Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to ensure smooth movement and security arrangements.

The advisory imposes temporary traffic restrictions in several parts of the twin cities during the President’s movement for various official programmes. Commuters have been asked to avoid specific routes during certain hours and plan their travel accordingly.

No vehicles will be allowed to ply on the roads and their connecting lanes/ by-lanes on the date and time as mentioned below.

Besides, on 14th July (Monday), goods carriers (6 or more wheelers – trucks and trailers) coming from Khurdha side intending to go towards Cuttack side through Bhubaneswar will not be allowed to ply from Pitapalli Sqr. and those vehicles will be diverted at Pitapalli Sqr. towards Cuttack via Chandaka Sqr.

Similarly, goods carriers (6 or more wheelers – trucks and trailers) coming from the Cuttack side will be diverted at Balikuda Sqr. towards Pitapalli Sqr via Chandaka Sqr.

On 15th July (Tuesday), no goods carriers (6 or more wheelers – trucks and trailers) will be allowed to ply in both the cities as well as on NH-16 during daytime, i.e. from 6 AM to 7 PM.

The above-mentioned restrictions will not be applicable for the emergency vehicles (Fire, Ambulance & Police).
