Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the world-famous Rath Yatra festival in Puri, Indian Railways has announced comprehensive travel arrangements, including the operation of 365 special trains during the Rath Yatra 2025 period to accommodate the expected surge in pilgrims and visitors from Odisha and neighbouring states.

These trains will supplement existing regular services and are planned to run from various parts of Odisha and select locations in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal. Key originating stations include Rourkela, Biramitrapur, Bangiriposi, Junagarh Road, Badampahar, Boudh, Jagdalpur, Baleswar, Angul, Gunupur, Rayagada, Paradeep, Bhadrak, Kendujhar, Daspalla, Khurda Road, Sambalpur, Talcher, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Dhenkanal, Barbil, Palasa, Visakhapatnam, Gondia, and Santragachhi.

Special emphasis will be placed on major days of the Rath Yatra such as Gundicha Yatra, Sandhya Darshan, Bahuda Yatra, and Sunavesa, with enhanced services from major towns and cities to ensure seamless travel.

Compared to last year’s 315 special trains, this year’s increase underscores the East Coast Railway’s commitment to providing safe, efficient, and comfortable travel for lakhs of devotees attending Odisha’s grand spiritual event.
