Bhubaneswar: An R&B Assistant Executive Engineer in Balangir district fell under scanner of Odisha Vigilance for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
Dileswar Majhi, the Asst. Executive Engineer (AEE) at Titlagarh R&B Sub-Division under Kantabanji R&B Division, Balangir, was found in possession of 4 buildings, 1 market complex, 9 high-value plots, 300 gm gold, Rs 6.57 lakh cash and many more during searches on his properties today.
On the allegation of acquisition of DA by Dileswar Majhi, simultaneous house searches were conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 5 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, 2 ASIs , and other supporting staff at six places in Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Balangir districts.
Following assets have been unearthed in the name Majhi and his family members so far:
1. One double storeyed building with area 4500 Sqft. located at Sambalpur Town (Sarla) containing one beauty parlour in the ground floor being operated by spouse of Sri Majhi .
2. Another double storeyed building with area 6300 Sqft. at Brajaraj Nagar Unit-II.
3. 2 buildings at Lahandapur, Jharsuguda.
4. A market complex at Brajarajnagar Unit -II, Jharsuguda with area approx. 900 Sqft consisting of 04 shops.
5. 9 high value plots including 01 in Sambalpur, 01 in Brajaraj Nagar, 06 on the outskirts of Sambalpur town, 01 in Badmal, Jharsuguda.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/market complex/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
6. Cash Rs.6,57,500/-
7. Gold approx. 300grams.
8. Bank deposits Rs.20 lakhs and other deposits, investments etc. are being ascertained.
9. 1 four wheeler (swift desire) and 02 two wheelers.
