Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated Shabari Sanskrutik Bhawan, a short-stay facility for the people of four south Odisha districts, in the capital city here.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned Rs 2 crore for further development of the short-stay facility, built for the people of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri districts, at IRC Village in the capital city.
“Shabari Sanskrutik Bhawan is not just a short-stay facility for the people of four tribal-dominated districts. It will play a key role in honing leadership among the tribal youth. The facility will also facilitate educational as well as cultural improvement of the tribal people,” said the Chief Minister.
According to the Chief Minister, the Shabari Sanskrutik Bhawan has proper facilities for the organisation of conferences, workshops, exhibitions and other events.
“This facility will be instrumental in the overall development of the tribal people. They can use the facility for availing education, healthcare and other services in the capital city,” added the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister claimed that the state government has allocated Rs 68,881 crore for the welfare of ST and SC people in Odisha. Apart from that, the people of the two communities have been included several government schemes, he said.
