Cuttack: According to the rankings of the internationally recognized magazine Outlook under the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education – 2025 (ICARE), Sri Sri University, the only institution from Odisha, has secured third place among the top 20 Ayurveda educational institutions in the country. This achievement is a matter of pride not only for the university but also for the entire state.
The university earned 935.57 marks out of 1000, based on five key parameters: academic and research excellence, industry interface and placement, infrastructure and facilities, governance and admissions, alongwith diversity and outreach.
According to the rankings, the College of Ayurveda under Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, Maharashtra, secured first position while Amrita University, Kollam, Kerala stood second and Sri Sri University from Cuttack, Odisha ranked third in the list. Similarly, AVS Ayurveda College of Vijayapura, Karnataka, and Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research of Wardha, Maharashtra secured fourth and fifth position respectively.
This accomplishment places Sri Sri University among the leading Ayurveda institutions in India. Dean and Head of Department Dr. Pradeep Kumar Panda stated that the goal is to work harder in the coming years to bring the university to the top position. Currently, research work is being conducted at the Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital with the collaboration of five institutes and the efforts of Deputy Dean Prof. Durgaprasad Dash, where over a hundred students are studying across 14 subjects. Last year, the department published 53 journals. In the year 2023, 104 programs were successfully organized, while in 2024, this number increased to 162. Dr. Panda expressed confidence that this number will be even higher in 2025.
