Puri: Ahead of the Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesha 2025 in Puri, the district police have issued a detailed traffic advisory for smooth vehicular movement and better crowd management. The advisory outlines specific routes and parking zones for four-wheelers, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers arriving from Brahmagiri, Bhubaneswar, and Konark sides.
Four-Wheeler Guidelines
1. Brahmagiri Side:
LMVs will be allowed to enter Puri via Mangalaghat and Sterling Chhaka.
Vehicles must park at the Sterling side parking areas in the following sequence:
Sterling Chhaka Left
Sterling Chhaka Road
Sterling Chhaka Right
Saha College Parking
2. Bhubaneswar Side:
LMVs will be permitted up to the Talabania side parking through Malatipatpur ROB, Baidas Nagar, and Grid Station.
Designated parking sequence includes:
OLA Guest House
Helipad
ITI College
Indoor Stadium
Horticulture Field
Hygienic Fish Market
Once full, traffic will be diverted to the Sterling side via Malatipatpur–Batagaon–Mangalaghat–Sterling.
3. Konark Side:
LMVs from Konark will be allowed up to the Talabania side via Balighai, Baidas Nagar, and Grid Station.
The parking sequence will be the same as the Bhubaneswar side.
Two-Wheeler Guidelines
1. Brahmagiri Side:
Two-wheelers can park on a first-come-first-served basis at:
Old Jagannath Ballav (JBC)
Mattiota Helipad Ground
Mattiota Playground (via Mangalaghat)
2. Bhubaneswar Side:
Two-wheelers allowed up to JBC parking, and subsequently to:
Mattiota Helipad Ground
Mattiota Playground
Return route through JBC, Jatiababa Chhaka, Kumbharpada PS, Atharanala, and Batagaon.
3. Konark Side:
Allowed up to:
Holiday Resort Parking
Blue Flag Beach
Hotel Neelachal Ashok Parking
Routes via Baidas Nagar, Grid Station, Helipad, Penthakata Chhaka, CT Road, Subash Bose Chhaka.
No vehicle allowed on ROB road from Toshali Chhaka.
Three-Wheeler Shuttle Service
From Talabania: Will reach Ghoda Bazar via Water Works Road, Odisha Bakery, and Ram Mandir. Return via Ram Mandir, Shreekhetra Colony, and Mangala Mandir.
From Malatipatpur: Will go up to Atharanala via Batagaon Chhaka and return through the same route.
From Brahmagiri: Will reach up to Sterling via Mangalaghat and return the same way.
