Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely in 13 Odisha districts on August 21

Bhubaneswar: Due to prevalent monsoon trough and a low pressure area, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over 13 districts of Odisha during next 24 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Kota, and centre of Low Pressure Area over the central parts of north Madhya Pradesh, Raipur, Gopalpur and thence east-southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level.”

Highest maximum temperature of 34.0oC was recorded at Nayagarh, Paralekhamundi and Boudh. The lowest minimum temperature of 21.5oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Sundargarh and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
