Lightning strike kills 2, injures four in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: At least two persons died and four others sustained critical injuries in a lightning strike at Dulanapur village in Banki area of Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The deceased have been identified as Gatikrushna Parida and Ramesh Sahu of the village. The injured ones have been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

The mishap took place when all of them were working at farmland. After the lightning struck, the victims were rushed to the Banki Hospital, where Gatikrushna and Ramesh were declared dead.
