Lightning strike kills 2 students in Odisha

Cuttack: While thunderstorm alerts have been issued for many areas of coastal Odisha today, lightning strike claimed two lives here, this evening.

The deceased have been identified as Sisir Digal from Kandhamal and Bibhuti Nayak of Nayagarh.

According to reports, both the boys were playing in a field in Tangi area when they were struck by a bolt of lightning.

Locals rushed them to SCB Medical Collage and Hospital where the doctors declared them ‘brought dead’.

They had come to Tangi in order to attend a skill development training programme.
