Lion dies in Odisha’s Nandankanan zoo

A lion died today at the Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) on the outskirts of Odisha capital.

According to sources, the lion named Laxman died due to old age-related illness. The 23-year-old big cat had stopped taking food at the zoo since last couple of days.

With the demise of Laxman, the number of lions has reduced to 14.
