In a show of rare fortitude, locals today overpowered two men while they were trying to flee after firing at a businessman in Jatni on the outskirts of Odisha capital.

According to reports, two assailants fired two rounds of bullets at a businessman in front of a filling station at Kudiary here.

The businessman sustained bullet injuries on his leg and was rushed to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

After committing the crime, the duo was about to flee the spot before the local people nabbed them.

The anti-socials were handed over to the local police.
