Locals panic as elephant strays into Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: An elephant strayed into Bharatpur area under Khandagiri police limits in Odisha capital today leaving the residents of the area panic-stricken.

According to reports, the pachyderm demolished a portion of a boundary wall of a house at GA Colony and uprooted several trees.

On being informed by locals, Forest officials reached the spot and initiated efforts to ward off the elephant.
