Lockdown: RTOs to function for limited hours in these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today rescheduled the working hours of Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) of Bhubaneswar Circle I and II, Cuttack, Ganjam, Bhanjanagar, Chandikhol, Jajpur, Rourkela and Khordha Additional Regional Transport Office (ARTO) in view of the lockdown till July 31.

In a letter, the Transport Department directed all the RTOs and Khordha ARTO to operate the offices from 10 AM to 2 PM during the lockdown. Besides, the department also asked the officials to operate the offices with 33 per cent staff and provide only limited services. All work relating to Driving License and Learning License will not be available during the period.

“Subordinate offices under Transport Commissionerate situated in four districts i.e. Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam and Jajpur and Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) area should function with 33 % of the total staff. As the relaxation period of lockdown is between from 6 AM and 1 PM, you are directed to function the offices up to 2 PM during,” reads the order issued by the State Transport Authority (STA), Odisha.
