Logo of ‘Brands of Odisha, Pride of India: Sambad Corporate Excellence Awards 2018’ unveiled

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s largest media conglomerate ‘Sambad Group’ on Wednesday unveiled the logo of ‘Brands of Odisha, Pride of India: Sambad Corporate Excellence Awards 2018’ to recognize the homegrown brands that have transcended boundaries and made the state proud.

With this, the entries for the first-of-its-kind award in the state have opened in various categories.

As many as 15 awards will be given away to industry leaders at a glittering function to be held on January 19, 2018 at Hotel Crown here. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will felicitate the awardees.

The awards have been broadly categorized under Brand of the Year-PSU, Brand of the Year- Large Enterprise, Brand of the Year- Medium Enterprise, Brand of the Year- Small Enterprise and Brand of the Year- Emerging Enterprise.

Speaking on the occasion, Sambad Group Chairman Soumya Ranjan Patnaik said, “Sambad has always come up with noble initiatives. We are being accused of fault-finding, which we are going to prove it wrong with institution of this award. We have a selfish interest to felicitate the awardees; in a way, we would feel proud to be in the august gathering.”

Elaborating on the awards, Sambad Group Managing Director Monica Nayyar Patnaik said, “We are proud of all the Odias who have made a name for themselves in the state as well as outside the state. We would recognize and felicitate the brands of Odisha who have established their base in the state and extended operations outside.”

The entries will be scrutinised by a team of independent jury and auditors to establish credibility.

The event was graced by MSME Minister Prafulla Samal. In his address, Samal hailed several initiatives of Sambad Group, including the maiden Sambad Corporate Excellence Awards.
