Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today arrested Loisingha police station inspector in-charge Sangram Keshri Pattnaik in Balangir district for accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe from the owner of a licensed liquor shop.
Pattnaik allegedly sought bribe from the liquor shop owner for not taking any action against him and on his business, sources said.
The Vigilance sleuths seized the bribe amount from Pattnaik.
“A case has been registered against Pattnaik at Sambalpur Vigilance police station. Our officials are now investigating the case,” said a senior official of Vigilance department.
