Looters’ gang busted in Odisha’s Kalahandi, 12 arrested

Bhawanipatna: Dharmagarh police today busted a looters’ gang with arrest of 12 robbers and seized cash and seven stolen bikes from their possession in Kalahandi district.

The looters, aged between 18 and 30 years, are all from Kalahandi district. They are involved in 13 loot and dacoity cases lodged in various police stations in the district, informed Kalahandi SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat in a press conference here today.

Police seized a toy gun, weapons, Rs 32,000 cash and seven stolen motorcycles from the looters.

However, two other members of the gang are at large.

According to reports, the looters were especially targeting the employees working at Microfinance company in the district. They were chasing them in unreachable locations and snatching valuables from them.
