Bhubaneswar: In view of cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast and possible low pressure, the regional meteorological centre today predicted intense rainfall for coastal, southern and western districts in next 3 days.
While orange warning has been issued for the districts of Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Puri, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places till tomorrow morning, yellow warning has been issued for the districts of Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sundargarh, Angul, Khordha, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh and Nuapada till August 26.
Similarly, the regional MeT has issued orange warning for Sundargarh and Keonjhar between August 24 and 25.
As the low pressure is likely to be formed over Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast and neighboutrhood, the sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea on August 24 and 25.
Whoever are in deep sea are advised to return to the coast by tonight, the MeT said in a release.
