Low pressure likely in next 24 hours, heavy rainfall warning for Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over west central Bay of Bengal is likely to be turned into low pressure in next 24 hours, triggering heavy rainfall in Odisha.

According to weather bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, “the cyclonic circulation over west central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood persists and now lies embedded in a trough in easterlies and extend upto 2.1 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.”

The MeT issued heavy rainfall warning for the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore till tomorrow.

The fishermen are advised not to venture into deep sea of the north and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal during Oct 29 and 30.
