Low pressure likely to trigger rainfall in Odisha till June 14

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area formed over west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast is likely to trigger rainfall in Odisha till June 14, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Rain/thunder shower would occur at many places over coastal Odisha and at a few places over interior districts of Odisha during next 24 hours, it predicted.

Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Khorda, Kandhamal and Nayagarh during next 24 hours, it warned.

The weather office has said that arrival of monsoon in the state is likely to be delayed by two-three days.
